Ryan is Co-founder and CEO of Formosa Financial, a one-stop platform for cryptoasset management, offering a customizable suite of custodial, brokerage, and risk management tools to blockchain companies. Formosa Financial’s API-enabled platform features integrated asset wallets that connect into a network of global exchanges and OTC markets – providing access to 90% of global market liquidity through one account.
He has worked on numerous projects focused on the development of blockchain-enabled payment systems, financial technology, policy, and regulations. He spent four years at Google developing the Android hardware and software ecosystems by managing direct-to-consumer device support operations and creating policies for the world’s biggest mobile app marketplace. At Ripple, Ryan served as Head of Developer Relations and Platform Partnerships. Through this role he engaged with numerous financial institutions and FinTech entrepreneurs building the payment systems of the future. He also spent two months in Delhi working with Catalyst to develop an accelerator program focused on building financial services for underserved populations in India. He also serves as a Research Associate focused on cryptoasset regulation at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Technology and Global Affairs and is a Research Fellow for the Global Taiwan Institute. Ryan is a founding member of the Taiwan Parliamentary Coalition for Blockchain (TPCB) self-regulatory organization and advisor to the Asia Blockchain and Crypto Association (ABACA).
