Alex Liu is the founder and CEO of Amis Technologies, MaiCoin and the Max Digital Asset Exchange. Alex is a native of Taipei, Taiwan and a graduate of Stanford Department of Electrical Engineering.

Alex’s previous positions include roles at Hitachi, Samsung, Siemens and Qualcomm. In 2014, Alex left Qualcomm to found MaiCoin, Taiwan’s first digital wallet, cryptocurrency exchange, and digital asset service platform. MaiCoin was also a key contributor to Blockseer, a leading cryptocurrency forensics and real-time risk scoring technology for compliance and law enforcement applications.

Over the past two years, Alex has focused on the development and application of blockchain based account networking technologies. In 2016, Alex founded Amis – a full-stack technology provider for financial consortium blockchains. Amis has worked on mobile blockchain payment projects for Fubon Financial and other leading Taiwanese financial service providers. In 2017, the MaiCoin team launched the Max Digital Asset Exchange, the only exchange in Taiwan to provide third party fiat custodial services. MAX aims to become a world class digital asset exchange that highly prioritizes security and provides users with fast, low cost access to a broad offering of tradeable digital assets.
