Celia joined The Block in April 2019 as a journalist intern. She is on her last few weeks to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, where she studies the history and philosophy of mathematics. She wrote her B.A. thesis on the mathematical axiomatization of quantum mechanics in the early twentieth century, which won the senior thesis award from the Stevanovich Institute on the Formation of Knowledge.

Previously, she worked for Crunchbase News, covering tech news related to startups and venture capitals around the globe. While at school, she also wrote about tech trends and issues in the Chicago area for the Booth Business School backed Polsky Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
